About Us

TWO FRIENDS, ONE Obsession

At Varello Valeting, we're not just here to clean cars — we're here because we genuinely love them.

I'm 19 years old, and for the past two years I've dedicated countless hours to learning, practising and researching everything I could about professional car detailing. While others might have been taking the easy route, I spent cold winter days building my own detailing van from the ground up, investing my time, money and energy into creating something I could truly be proud of.

Along the way, I brought my best friend on board. We met at college, shared the same passion for cars, and eventually made the decision to leave our jobs behind and take a chance on ourselves. We both have a huge passion for the car scene, an obsessive eye for detail and, if we're being honest, we're both perfectionists when it comes to our work. We won't be happy with a job until we're happy with every last detail.

Starting Varello Valeting has been a huge investment for us. We've put everything we have into building a business that we're proud to put our names behind, from investing in high-quality professional products and equipment to learning from and being trained by experienced premium detailers in Cambridgeshire.

We're proud to be a local business based around Silchester, and every day we're working to build something that we can be proud of for years to come. Whether we're carrying out a simple valet or working on a full paint correction and ceramic coating, we approach every vehicle with the same level of care, attention and dedication.

We're still young, but that doesn't mean we lack experience, ambition or passion. We've spent the last two years preparing ourselves for this, and we're committed to constantly learning, improving and pushing ourselves to deliver the best possible results for every customer.

Are you fully insured?

Yes — Varello Valeting is fully insured for every service we provide. You're in safe hands.

Do I need to provide water or electricity?

We bring our own spotless water supply, so no need to worry about that. The only thing we need is access to a standard plug socket nearby to power our equipment.

What is spotless water?

Spotless water is purified, mineral-free water. It leaves zero marks or residue after rinsing, giving you a flawless finish every time.

Do I need to prepare my vehicle?

Just remove any personal items or rubbish from the car. Anything left behind, we'll take care of.

How do I pay?

Payment is taken securely upfront through our online booking system when you make your appointment.

Will you come in the rain?

Yes — we can work under gazebos in light rain. In severe weather conditions we may reschedule to protect the quality of the finish and your vehicle.

Why does regular valeting matter?

Regular cleaning protects your paintwork from contaminants, UV damage, and road grime — preserving both the condition and long-term value of your vehicle.

Why should I get my car ceramic coated?

Ceramic coating creates a semi-permanent protective layer over your paintwork that repels water, dirt, UV rays, and minor contaminants. It dramatically reduces how often your car needs washing, makes cleaning far easier when you do, and preserves the depth and gloss of your paint for years rather than months.

What's the difference between valeting and detailing?

Both involve a thorough clean, but the level of attention differs significantly. A valet is a comprehensive wash and clean — exterior wash, interior vacuum, windows, and a wipe-down of surfaces including the dashboard, door cards, and trim. Detailing takes things much further: every surface is cleaned and dressed individually, plastics and rubbers are treated, leather is conditioned, paintwork is decontaminated, and protection is applied. It's the difference between a thorough clean and a full restoration to the best possible condition.

How long does a full detail or valet take?

Timings vary depending on the service and the condition of the vehicle. A maintenance valet typically takes 1–2 hours, while a full interior and exterior detail can take anywhere from 3 to 6+ hours. Ceramic coating applications require additional preparation time and a curing period. Exact timeframes are provided at the point of booking.

Can you remove scratches and swirl marks?

Yes — our paint correction service uses machine polishing to safely remove light scratches, swirl marks, and water spots from the clear coat, restoring clarity and gloss to your paintwork. The level of correction achievable depends on the depth of the damage and the thickness of the clear coat remaining.

How often should I get my car detailed?

For most drivers, a maintenance valet every 4–8 weeks keeps the car in great condition day-to-day. A thorough interior and exterior detail is recommended every 3–6 months depending on usage and environment. Vehicles with ceramic coatings benefit from a maintenance wash more frequently to keep the coating performing at its best.

Do I need to be at home while you work?

Not necessarily — as long as we have access to the vehicle and a nearby power socket, you're free to carry on with your day. Many of our customers leave the keys with us and return to a freshly detailed car. We'll always let you know when we're done.
